When I was a kid, maybe 6 or 7 my Dad asked me if, like the rest of the family, I was a Buddhist. I replied I was Bon Buddhist with Shamanic  tendencies. He said I couldn't be, I had to choose one - That concept seemed ridiculous to me, then and now.  Why an earth can't we pick what systems, ideologies, philosophies, and magick feels right for us? Are we to simply follow diligently in the footsteps of our ancestors, or are we to build upon all that they have shared and take it somewhere new -  To something that fits us uniquely... ??
