This hand carved whitby jet horn, set in sterling silver is hooped through a vintage sterling curb chain bracelet. It also comes with this incredible tassel. Because ermmm. everyone loves a tassel. It's our take on a charm bracelet.

This Jet has been hard collected along the East Yorkshire coast in  Whitby  - This jet deposited in a saltwater swamp about 180 million years ago. It was then compressed during burial and geologically heated to temperatures and pressures that took it through the rank of lignite. This has given the hard jet of Whitby the better working qualities than any other jet that has been found in abundance.

Jet is an organic rock created when pieces of woody material are buried, compacted, and then go through organic degradation. A bit like coal, but smooth and tough and totally different haha. It has been used for thousands of years in jewellery.  One of the oldest known jet objects is a necklace made from alternating jet and chalk beads found in a Neolithic burial in France. Though,  jets popularity really began to climb in 1861 when Queen Victoria began wearing it as mourning jewellery.

It is a great stone for guidance, it will remind you of your goals and help you re-evaluate your methods (perfect perspective tool)...Jets healing properties include; pain relief for headaches/migraines and enhanced healing from traumatic injuries. Plus it can be used to cleanse other crystals so... It's pretty epic.

From the AW20 collection Astral Ancestors:

The inspiration for the Astral Ancestors collection is a scent -  A perfumed oil that captures the spirit of an imagined journey - From the Earth's Core to Outer Space.

"There was something undefined and complete, existing before Heaven and Earth. How still it was, how formless, standing alone and undergoing no change, reaching everywhere with no danger of being exhausted. It may be regarded as the mother of all things. Truthfully it has no name, but I call it Tao." (Tsu, 1972)

Black pepper and patchouli - The core, snaking up towards the crust and beyond.

Vetiver and frankincense  -  The earth, caves and fields.

Lavender and neroli  - Flora and fauna.

Cedarwood, sandalwood and fir   - The trees reaching up.

Geranium  - Stratosphere

Birch tar  - Moon

Almond - Saturn's moon

Raspberry - Outer space.
