The arrival of a big cargo of pearl-buttons from Japan in the 1860's made its way to the street vendors of London... With one element from the east and another in east London I give you the 'Black and White Pearlies of the South'. A pearl choker strung like little teeth with a tiny black tourmaline swingin' off it. Hangs at short 19cm and weighing in at 20 grams... This really is a one off beauty, esp with her silver vintage clasp. Every London borough has a Pearly family all dedicated to charity - and every continent has deposits of black tourmaline.
